What is Re-amping? Reamping is typically applied to guitar tracks that were recorded in a home studio via DI (Direct Input into audio interface, computer or mixer) without a real amplifier and microphones. It's basically playing and re-recording your 'home-made' guitar track file in a studio environment with a pro equipment to get a rich vibrant tone.
We use a real magnetic tape along with the tube amps and ribbon microphones at Space Magnetic Studio. It adds the famous tape compression and saturation effect that make your tone warm and pleasant to the ear. Sometimes, if we have more space for experimentation, we use the same technique for vocals, synths, bass or even drums. Would you like to try reamping? Email us for more info.
